| The new season is now upon us and we have 17 teams this year, competing in The Kent Youth League, The Bexley & District Junior Football League and the Selkent League. Membership totals nearly 300 players. Please see teams page for individual contact details. Some of the squads kicked off their campaign last week (7th September) with the remainder today. I personally watched the U10s Bexley side and the U16 Kent Youth side in action. Both matches were strongly fought, passionate and fair – and both ended in 3 points for Welling. A good start and a joy to watch. Last year’s presentation was held at Charlton Athletic, The Valley. The event itself was a huge success, enabling us to celebrate the achievements of the teams last season and the club’s Charter Standard Award. The roll of honour for 2007-2008 made impressive reading and set a standard for us all this season. Our senior sides, at U15, U16 and U18 are represented in the Kent Youth League, largely regarded as the strongest Youth league outside of academy level.
